Founded by James Heck, a seasoned electrician with over 20 years of international experience in the oil and gas industry, our company prides itself on delivering top-notch electrical services tailored to meet the diverse needs of our clients, beachside and beyond.
From humble beginnings in Alberta, Canada,
James's journey in the electrical field has taken him across the globe, installing and commissioning large-scale drilling rig operations and control systems. It was during this time that he cultivated a deep understanding of the intricacies of electrical systems, honing his skills to perfection.
In 2013, James and his family made the decision to settle in Melbourne Beach, Florida eager to establish roots in a community they could serve with their expertise. With a steadfast commitment to quality and reliability, he obtained his Master Electrician license in the USA and founded Stingray Electric in 2016.
With business growth in 2019, James partnered with his wife Tia, bringing her extensive experience in customer service and administration to the company. Tia now serves as CEO and Secretary/Treasurer.

James has trained and volunteered with the Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department since 2016, enhancing his expertise in electrical fire risk and prevention. Tia's father, a veteran of both the USAF and USACE with a combined 40 years of service to the country, instilled a deep sense of duty and service within our family.
In line with our commitment to supporting our community, we proudly sponsored the 21st Annual Down Syndrome Association Buddy Walk in 2023, as well as Holy Trinity Episcopal Academy athletics, Melbourne High School Softball, Satellite High School football, and the United Way of Brevard. Additionally, in appreciation for their service, we offer military and first responder discounts as part of our commitment to a sustainable future.
