ABOUT US

Family Roots and Master-Level Electrical Expertise

At Stingray Electric & Controls, LLC, our foundation is built on technical mastery and genuine local care. Founded by James Heck—a Master Electrician with over 20 years of international experience in high-stakes oil and gas operations—our business is rooted in the Melbourne Beach and Satellite Beach communities. After relocating from Alberta, Canada in 2013, the Heck family started Stingray Electric to offer Brevard County something unique: a neighborly, family-owned electrical partner with the industrial-grade precision typically reserved for global engineering projects. James’s ongoing service as a volunteer firefighter with the Melbourne Beach Volunteer Fire Department since 2016 adds a crucial layer of trust and safety, especially for homeowners concerned about fire risks from aging aluminum wiring. Tia Heck, CEO and operational anchor, brings her own legacy of service and a passion for customer care. Together, we built Stingray Electric on a foundation of accountability, transparency, and a person-centered approach—delivered with a signature smile (and a few dad jokes to keep things light). Our “Done Right” Guarantee means if we make a mistake, we fix it at no charge—because to us, you’re not just a client, you’re a neighbor.

ABOUT US

Quality, Community, and Service First

Stingray Electric stands apart through our unwavering dedication to Brevard County’s unique needs. Every installation, from Indialantic to Viera, is handled with master-level precision and a deep understanding of coastal challenges—using only rust-resistant materials like stainless steel and PVC for beachside homes. Our family’s ethos of service extends beyond the job site: we actively support the Buddy Walk (Down Syndrome Association), United Way, and local high school athletics. We honor military families and first responders with special discounts, reflecting our 40-year family legacy of service in the USAF and USACE. As an authorized Generac dealer, we offer the security of a 10-year warranty, and our commitment to aesthetics means routing wiring through attics whenever possible—never settling for shortcuts. Our person-first philosophy, transparent pricing (hourly or per-project), and modern communication powered by Jobber (including ETA texts and text-to-pay) ensure a seamless, trustworthy customer experience. At Stingray Electric, every detail reflects our belief: your safety, comfort, and property value deserve nothing less than the best.
